Thinking this quilt was from the 1970s, I turned it over hoping to find a label. No label was found so you know what that means - I took a photo and saved it in my unlabeled quilts photo album.

It took me a while to formulate the short story about Natalie driving her classic car named "Matilda" (for its strong spirit) from the mid-west to Florida. With a stop at a Vintage Shoppe in Memphis, I love how how this quilt tugged at Natalie's heart. She purchased a Sun Bonnet Sue quilt that reminded her of her childhood. But, it's what she did with this quilt that I hope will leave you cheering for Natalie's strong spirit.

When was the last time that you wrote a letter to someone, in cursive? Are you ready to spread some holiday cheer? Consider joining the 12 Days of Letter Writing (beginning December 1-12). This is the biggest campaign of the year for More Love Letters.
From their recent post:
This December 1st-12th, we'll be on a mission to fill the world with a little more kindness, hope, and handwritten holiday magic, and let's be honest, we can't imagine doing this work without you.
Each day, we'll be sharing one story - each one highlighting someone who's been nominated by a loved one to receive a Love Letter Bundle from our global community. That means hundreds of handwritten letters, bundled together, sent to someone who could use a little extra light this season.
If you've been searching for a meaningful way to give back this season - one that doesn't involve long lines, fancy wrapping paper, or holiday hustle - this is your sign.
For nearly nine years, I've been part of a community of anonymous letter writers, putting pen to paper, helping with the monthly mission: using the art of letter writing to handwrite + mail love letters to people in need around the world.
Being part of More Love Letters is a meaningful way to offer encouragement and support to others. I have often felt most comfortable working behind-the-scenes; that's why I connected with MLL's mission. If you decide to join in the December 12-Days of Letter Writing - thank you! Or, why not think about writing one cursive note or letter to someone you've been meaning to keep in touch with - it will brighten your day and theirs, too.
Thank you for stopping by.
